This house owner of the 18th century has been entirely renovated and offers quality services. Ideally located, very close to shops, restaurants and cafes, this property enjoys a very quiet environment.the garden, bathed in sun, is planted with exotic species has a very beautiful swim spa. The last floor has a living room view of Saint-Martin.

Our party consisted of 4 couples who have recently retired and enjoy sharing trips together. I had been to the island 3 times before but never stayed there. I found the website: en.myhomein-ildere.com by luck and found the site really easy to navigate. Response times were in most cases less than an hour. I chose Aurélia's house VILLA SAINT-MARTIN-DE-RÉ because of its location on the port and also so central to St Martin but so quiet that it is hard to believe that the bars and restaurants are within walking distance. a few minutes. The house itself was a wonderful experience. It is the old harbor master's house. Staying there takes you back in time to where maybe an invasion is about to happen. The island has a lot of history and buildings like the prison https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Saint_Martin_citadel_1681.jpg. Il de Re has everything a visitor could wish for. Great food, bikes for hire and plenty of beaches. So much so that you will have to make a round trip to experience it all. Aurélia's house is well-kept and has an extremely well-equipped kitchen. You may need to bring in a chef to make the most of it. The inhabitants of il de Ré are proud, civilized and warm. Not once have I had bad manners or an overly commercial impression of the island despite the large number of visitors here. What not to like? Well maybe my vacation was only 7 days.
