Villa 2 bedroom Ars-en-ré

The house is located in the immediate vicinity of the center of Ars and 7 mins walk from the port and the cycle paths, in a street with moderate traffic. there is a small courtyard which allows you to eat outside and to park the bikes, which is very useful. The house is quite pretty in its traditional style and the 2 bedrooms upstairs are large. However this house does not offer the services expected in this price range, one has the impression that the owners have decided to rent it out but have not really made any efforts to adapt to the needs of holidaymakers. For example, the only bathroom (and toilet) in the house has a bathtub where you can take a shower, but this is not at all practical and especially not suitable if you are more than 1m65, there is no double glazing in the windows, no air conditioning, no fan, under the roofs so you suffocate quickly and if you open the window at night you are woken up by revelers. in the courtyard there is only a tiny table (you can eat at 2 max) and 2 very uncomfortable chairs, 1 single deckchair. The kitchen has very few pans, it lacks a lot of utensils, the fridge is small and old so capricious (suddenly it freezes, suddenly it's hot), no television (it is indicated but good), in short the house is very very spartan. Also the house was dirty when we arrived, we reported it to the concierge who manages the property. in summary this house could be really nice with a big effort on the house equipment and cleanliness.
